Football at the Juba IDP camp
17 November 2017. Juba: A young displaced warms up controlling a ball before a football match at the UN Protection of Civilians (PoC) site in Juba, South Sudan, on November 17, 2017. The match, between the teams Main Camp and Extension Camp, is part of the regular season in the IDP camp.
The Juba PoC, which hosts nearly 40,000 displaced people, has only one football field, built by the international NGO Whitaker Initiative in 2014.
Many young people in the PoC, follow the professional football watching matches in some TV centres inside the PoC.
